The Brief

Communiteer is an online community, purpose-built to foster social participation. Communiteer leverages the technology behind social media and crowdsourcing platforms to increase user engagement and collaborative opportunities.  Communiteer aligns all communities, content and contributions on their platform to the UN Sustainable Development Goals so that participants know exactly what their time and efforts are contributing to. These goals act as the universal language that aligns charities, corporates and changemakers together and measures how our collective efforts are creating social impact.

This brief focuses on researching the Communiteer target audience and designing the key functionality required for a future native mobile app of their current platform. Students will be required to conduct research on what the key use cases are in relation to a mobile version of the Communiteer platform and design a mobile solution to represent this key functionality.

  1. Research and define the user needs of the volunteer target audience and validate with regards to how they may use a mobile version of the platform to support their engagement.
  2. Design a solution that represents the key functionality required by the target audience and design this in the form of a wireframe and/or prototype.
