The Brief

Communiteer is an online community, purpose-built to foster social participation. Communiteer leverages the technology behind social media and crowdsourcing platforms to increase user engagement and collaborative opportunities.

Communiteer aligns all communities, content and contributions on their platform to the UN Sustainable Development Goals so that participants know exactly what their time and efforts are contributing to. These goals act as the universal language that aligns charities, corporates and changemakers together and measures how our collective efforts are creating social impact.

This brief focuses on the design of a digital reporting feature for key users of the Communiteer platform. This includes corporates who want to see what impact their participation in projects is having. As well as individuals who want to see receive a report on their own involvement in volunteering, a term commonly used for this is a social CV. Students should conduct research to uncover more about what each of these persona’s needs from a reporting tool and design a solution to present the data to the users in an engaging and useful way.
