The Brief
Etiko is an apparel, footwear and sports ball business that has had the respect and promotion of human rights at the centre of its mission since its foundation in 2005.
With over a decade of sales, Etiko’s products have supported the human and labour rights of cotton growers, rubber tappers, workers in apparel, sports ball and shoe production, and their families. They pay premiums to all of their employees to ensure they get proper living wages. Etiko was the first fashion brand in the southern hemisphere to become Fairtrade certified.
This brief focuses on students conducting a UX review of the Etiko shopping website. The goals of the review are to look at usability improvements to enhance the traffic to purchase conversion rate of the site. Secondary goals are to look at how to encourage stronger uptake of newsletter subscribers and return visitors to the website.

Sue-Lin has 15 + years of experience working in various industries, from finance to media, building meaningful customer experiences. She started her career as a web developer and business analyst. Along the way, she has acquired an MBA and two children, in that order.
Sue-Lin works at the intersection of technology and business and is passionate about delivering products with a clear strategic vision. She is innately curious about the customer experience, thinking about the big picture of the product and how each detail can contribute. Currently, she leads digital solutions & innovation for a commercial real estate company, always asking the question ‘what’s the problem you are trying to solve?” With various real-life experiences across many projects, Sue-Lin is keen to share this knowledge and work with up and coming designers.
